This free printable placemat is perfect for leaving a quick treat for the busy bunny, and it’s also a fun way to work a new Easter tradition into your family’s festivities!

You could even combine this cute placemat with another one of my family’s favorite Easter Bunny ideas – these adorable Easter Bunny footprints made from flour! Then you’ll have extra proof that the famous rabbit did, in fact, make a stop at your house!

And don’t forget to sprinkle this magic bunny bait on your lawn on Easter eve to attract your kids’ furry friend!

SUPPLY LIST:

  1. Free Printable Easter Bunny Footprints Template – You can grab mine down below!
  2. Scissors
  3. Card stock – You could probably use printer paper also, but with card stock you can use the stencil year after year. Also, I recommend the card stock because it’s sturdier, which is helpful when you’re lifting the template off the floor with the weight of the flour.
  4. Flour – Any type of white flour will work, so just grab a bag of the cheapest variety or use what you already have in the pantry.
  5. Mesh strainer – I used this as a sort of flour sifter. It helps to evenly distribute the flour so that it doesn’t clump up in the stencil.

Smores Rice Krispies Treats

Prep: 15 minutes
Cook: 2 minutes
Cooling Time 30 minutes
Total: 47 minutes
Gooey s'mores Rice Krispies treats are soft and gooey, with plenty of that chocolate, marshmallow and graham cracker flavor that you'll crave! No campfire needed for these easy treats that have just the right amount of sweetness.

Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla
  • teaspoon salt
  • 20 ounces mini marshmallows – 20 ounces equals two 10 ounce bags
  • 4 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 5 ½ cups Golden Grahams cereal divided
  • ¼ cup mini chocolate chips – semi sweet
  • 2 Hershey’s chocolate bars 1.55 ounces total for two bars

Instructions

  • Prepare a 9×13 inch baking dish with a large piece of parchment paper. Spray the lightly with cooking spray, as sometimes the marshmallows can get sticky.
  • In a very large pot melt the butter over medium low heat. Measure one cup of mini marshmallows to the side, then pour the remaining marshmallows into the pot. Stir the entire time with a silicone spatula while the marshmallows melt. Remove the pan completely from the heat, then quickly add the vanilla and salt.
  • Add 5 cups of Golden Grahams, 4 cups of Rice Krispies cereal to the marshmallow mixture. Fold in the cereal, pulling the marshmallow mixture from the bottom until the cereal is entirely coated.
  • Pour the marshmallow cereal mixture into the prepared pan, pressing very gently with the silicone spatula to fit the pan. Sprinkle the remaining cup of mini marshmallows, ½ cup of Golden Graham cereal and the ¼ cup of mini chocolate chips over the Rice Krispies treats. Spray an additional piece of parchment paper lightly with spray cooking oil, then use it to press the toppings gently into the top of the treats to make sure they stick. Add rectangles of Hershey’s chocolate to the top to decorate.
  • Allow the treats to cool, they slice easier once cool to the touch. Then lift them out of the pan and slice, and enjoy!

Notes

It can be tempting to turn up the heat to melt the butter and marshmallows faster, but keep the heat medium to medium low. If you bump the heat too much the sugar begins to crystalize which can cause the treats to be hard.
